Miri Red Crescent Donation Drive For COVID 19 Patients

Good morning everyone! I believe that nowadays many countries are facing the pandemic of COVID 19 as well as Malaysia. COVID 19 started in Wuhan China and begin to spread to the whole world . Therefore, I am very grateful that communities can spare out their time for donation drive even in this situation. Hence, I represent Miri Red Crescent by saying thank you for willing to support the COVID 19 patients either by monetary, blood donation or both.

 

The donation drive would be held on every Tuesday and Thursday at 10am to 2pm. Communities which to donate have to register their name, check their temperature for financial support and undergo medical check before they donate blood.

 

One of the donators Reza Huzairi Zainuddin has said that “I am overwhelmed and proud that Allah replaced my sadness in 2020 with the opportunity to help other patients by donating my blood plasma,”

 

“The Government welcomes the generosity of Malaysians, both the rakyat and the corporate sector, in contributing and donating towards addressing the Covid-19 outbreak, ” said the Finance Ministry

 

The donation drive will be starting to prepare their equipment at 8.30am and communities can start to register their name at 9.00am and be prepare to have their temperature checked and medical check-up or communities can register through website that we create to pre-register theselves. After that, they will give out a gift bag contains of some food and certificate to the communities who donate blood and provide financial support

 

This donation drive will be on going until all COVID 19 patients has been treated and when they is no reporting of new cases after two month. Besides, the aim of having this donation drive to help those patients in critical conditions where they in urge of blood that can against the virus.

 

Other than that, patient who recovered from COVID 19 are welcome to donate to help out patient who are currently fighting with the virus. However, they have to go through more stricter medical check to unsure that they are fully recover and meet the requirement.

 

“I feel proud when a former Covid-19 patient that has been confirmed by the Health Ministry of Malaysia to have recovered is now taking the role of helping victims of that virus.” said by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin

 

Through the outbreak of COVID 19, it shows that many communities are willing to donate out what they have even themselves are suffering from financial problem. Therefore, little by little, we can gain more. Besides, we can see that communities are united to fight against this virus and hope to win one day.
